Client Synopsis:

Full Scale Solutions is currently recruiting for the following position based in Research Triangle Park, NC. Our Client is a software as a service provider to companies who are in the clinical trial phase of drug development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager who could head up a team of 11 individuals who are remote based and help streamline the Project Management process and team. This incumbent will have two direct reports and 9 indirect. This position works within the company's Research & Development (R&D) team and will report to the Global Head of Technology. This individual must be a dynamic leader/mentor and have expertise with the management of field based Project Managers and for building and leading the Product Management function.

This individual must be able to synthesize input from customers, prospects, industry trends and thought leaders into tangible R&D software development projects. It is essential that this individual be able to leverage strategic information, making the case for the company's direction from a Project Management perspective and should be and tactical enough to do hands on work pitching in to write user stories, wireframe features or give product demos.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build, grow and manage the Global Product Management team.
  • Establish processes for product management interactions across the organization; from capturing win/loss information from the sales team, to capturing customer wants and needs from account management, to how to best communicate the product vision to R&D for implementation.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmap(s) for core products and segments.
  • Establish and maintain competitive landscape for IRT market, categorizing real or perceived competitor strengths, and providing a realistic assessment of how the company measures up to them. This will be done through primary research, surveys, and interaction with the company's corporate parents.
  • Ensure the R&D resources are focused on the products and enhancements that drive the most long-term value for the company.
  • Work with the Marketing department to develop product marketing strategies, including post-release communication of golden features, product capabilities, positioning, and messaging.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally within a technical discipline (Engineering/Computer Science) MS or MBA preferred.
  • 10-12 years of Product Management experience in the enterprise software space.
  • 3+ years working within the life sciences, pharmaceutical or eClinical industry.
  • Strong management experience, leading and developing teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience providing high-quality, professional presentations to, and interacting with, Senior Executives.
  • Experience within a global organization, preferably managing Global teams.
  • Experience within a software development organization, with time spent as a Developer, is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
